Nike 2015 BHM Collection Cont'd - Part 3

Our final post on the Nike 2015 BHM Collection features some of Nike's most popular men's and women's lifestyle footwear and one release only available through the Nike Soccer App. Nike continues to use it's platform as one of the world's most recognized footwear companies to inspire, recognize and empower people across the world.

Sports remind us what history has long revealed. That courage is contagious. That the actions of a single individual can impact those whose faces they will never see. That a single voice can resound through generations. This month, we honor those who have let their actions and their voices speak. Not only for themselves, but for us all. To the challenges that we face, with the courage, the conscience and the power that resides in each of us.

THE POWER OF ONE

A portion of proceeds from the sale of the Nike 2015 BHM Collection will go to the Ever Higher Fund, which supports organizations that leverage the power of sports to maximize the potential of under served youth. The fund’s mission is to assist communities with knowledge, resources and tools for the next generation of leaders.

Nike 2015 Black History Month Collection - Part 1

February is designated as Black History Month or National African American History Month in the United States. During this annual celebration the achievements and endeavors of African Americans in United States history are recognized, remembered and honored. This past Monday on January 19th, 2015 we celebrated the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. one of the most recognized leaders of the Civil Rights Movement.

This year, Nike is celebrating Black History Month with a collection of footwear across basketball, running, soccer, skateboarding and football. Nike is honoring six athletes and coaches who have positively impacted sports with their courage and determination. The Black History Month Collection of BHM Collection will recognize Theotis Beasley, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Jerry Rice, Brianna Rollins, C. Vivian Stringer and John Thompson.

Nike will be donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of the 2015 BHM Collection to the Ever Higher Fund, which supports organizations that leverage the power of sports to maximize the potential of underserved youth. Hottest 2014 Nike Holiday Releases

Happy New Year to everyone! Wishing you all nothing but joy, prosperity and good health this year. 2015 is here and 2014 is in the books. Every year the holidays always seem to speed by and are over in a blink of the eye. With all the festivities, feasting, family time and of course shopping, the busyness of the season causes us to miss out on a lot of the latest news and rumblings in the world, especially the shoe world. Being the biggest season for retail, shoe companies have bought in to the trend and love to release special styles around the holidays. Here is a quick look back at some of the HOTTEST 2014 Holiday Releases from Nike.

Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Black/Infrared23' - $185, Nov. 28, 2014

Air Jordan 6 Retro

The Nike Air Jordan 6 is back in its original colorway and arrives just in time for the holidays. Capitalizing on the new shopping craze "Black Friday", these shoes were released the morning after Thanksgiving. Jordan’s first championship shoe features a black nubuck upper with eye-catching pops of Infrared on the heel and Jumpman logos. For the first time since the original release, a reflective underlay shines bright on the courts or in the streets. Check out the official release page for the Air Jordan 6 Retro Black/Infrared.

Alejandro's Nike X Doernbecher Air Max Penny - $145, Dec. 6, 2014

Doernbecher Air Max Penny

Alejandro Muñoz was born with kidneys that have never worked well and eventually will fail. He spent his first 12 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Trips to Doernbecher have become a frequent part of his life. At eight you just want to play. Now. Today. It’s pretty simple.

Alejandro’s canvas is the Nike Air Max Penny, inspired by his love of football. Alejandro loves nothing more than hanging out in shorts and tees – and now he has designed one of each. Personal drawings and designs are imprinted all over the reflective base of the Air Max Penny, and his own logo is inspired by his favorite football team: the 49ers. Look closely and you’ll see a self-portrait of Alejandro playing football on the tongue of his very own Nike X Doernbecher Air Max Penny.
